Keep Salt Creek Clean

Our guests helped build and install colourful trash receptacles for Salt Creek. This important project will have a lasting impact on the village and teach children the importance of proper trash disposal. The school has now committed to assigning one grade every six months to be in charge of collecting trash bags and doing litter sweeps through the village twice a week. Full trash bags are transported to the mainland by our captains for proper disposal. In return, Casa Cayuco will fund a class project of their choice for the six-month period. By staying with us, guests are funding the ongoing operation of this meaningful project.
